This ThrowbackThursday is about the former Chesterfield Elementary School!
On Tuesday, December 8th, 1964 from 5pm-9pm, residents were asked to decide on a proposal for a township K-6 school not to exceed $497,000. The Chesterfield Township Elementary School on Crosswicks-Chesterfield Road opened for its first full school year on September 8th, 1966.

The purpose of the Chesterfield Township Historical Society is to bring together those people interested in history, especially the history of our township. Understanding the history of our township is basic to our democratic way of life, gives us a better understanding of our state and nation, and helps us better to appreciate our American heritage.
